Editorial policy

Our editorial approach is guided by clarity, care and a fair account of what an article can and cannot establish. We aim to help readers make their own choices about free time.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements before publication and write in language a general reader can follow. Where an idea is a preference rather than a fact, we make that distinction clear. We avoid presenting a suggestion as a universal answer, and we revise material when a detail needs correction or clarification.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not to disguise a commercial message. Any commercial relationship relevant to a piece is disclosed clearly, and it does not entitle a partner to an undisclosed editorial endorsement.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear wording, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers where appropriate.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where an illustration is AI-generated, we identify it as such.

Our point of view

A weekend is time to shape, not optimise

We favour a clear idea and room to change course over a crowded schedule. The best plan is one that suits the people and the day.
